Minnesota has long taken pride in having a rich tradition of honoring its heritage and fostering unity through civic engagement, community pride, and a shared commitment to democratic values.
Building on this enduring spirit, the newly established North Star Society is launching an historic initiative to host the first-ever Minnesota State Presidential Inaugural Ball.
Envisioned to be a quadrennial, bipartisan celebration in Washington, DC, the North Star Society will bring Minnesota pride to every Presidential Inauguration, uniting Minnesotans and those who love them to celebrate the peaceful transfer of power, the hallmark of the democratic ideals central to our Nation.
This uniquely Minnesotan event will draw inspiration from other state-focused inaugural celebrations while showcasing Minnesota’s vibrant culture through its music, cuisine, and artistic talent.
More than a celebration, the Minnesota State Inaugural Ball will serve as a platform for unity, bridging divides and connecting people from all walks of life in the shared spirit of democracy, progress, and community values.

Provide an opportunity for Minnesotans to commemorate the peaceful transition of power and the enduring strength of our democratic system. The Ball would be held every four years, regardless of presidential election outcome in a way to bring together people from both sides of the aisle.
Showcase Minnesota's Spirit
Highlight the state’s rich cultural heritage, artistic talent, and contributions to the nation through music, cuisine, and performances.
Foster Unity
Create a space for bipartisan fellowship and community connection, transcending political affiliations to focus on shared values.
Institutionalize Presidential Inaugural Ball
Any proceeds from the ball would be held in trust and used toward the deposit for the 2029 Minnesota Presidential Inaugural Ball.
